Medical Disclaimer

Last updated November 2, 2026

TEP gathers information and organizations that may help you, but it does not provide health care, legal advice, or financial advice. Please read this before you rely on anything you find here.

Not medical advice

Educational pages, guides, checklists, and medication information on TEP are general information for learning. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a prescription, and they do not replace care from a licensed clinician who knows your history. Never start, stop, or change a medication or dose based on something you read here.

Reading TEP does not create a patient relationship with any clinician or with TEP.

Not legal, insurance, or financial advice

Legal, health insurance, and financial assistance pages describe options in general terms. Laws, coverage rules, and program eligibility change, and they differ by state and by insurer. Confirm anything that matters for your situation with a licensed attorney, your insurer, or the program itself.

Organizations we list

Local organizations, clinics, support groups, and businesses are run by other people, not by TEP. We review listings on a schedule and ask whether the organization is still active and still offers what it describes, but we do not supervise their care, we do not guarantee their services, and a listing is not an endorsement.

Details such as hours, prices, and whether a service is offered can change between reviews. Contact the organization directly before you travel or book, and tell us if something is out of date.

Community reviews and stories

Reviews and stories come from community members and reflect their own experience. They are opinions, not verified medical or legal facts, and one person's experience may not be yours.

State travel grades

Travel grades summarize publicly available laws, policies, and sources at the time they were written. They are a starting point for your own research, not legal advice, and they cannot account for every city, business, or situation.

Sensitive content warnings

Some resources discuss surgery, anatomy, or other graphic material. Where that is the case, the listing is marked and you are warned before it opens.

If you need help right now

TEP is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time, free of charge.

Telling us something is wrong

If a listing is closed, a link is broken, or information looks unsafe or out of date, report it with the feedback form or the report link on the listing. Reports go to TEP staff for review.
